William's Testimony

William Sarnouk - November 13, 2005

My name is William and I am 14 years old. In 2002, my school organized an evangelization evening and invited people to watch a play describing life after death. I was really touched by the play, especially when they would check if the name of the deceased person was in the book of life. I felt that the Lord was talking to me directly at that moment. I was sure that I could not leave this world without knowing Jesus as my savior.

Since that time, Jesus has reigned in my life and has given me the chance to share the good news with my friends on several occasions.

In 2003, and more precisely on March 27, I faced a serious and dangerous problem. A vein in my brain burst and I fell unconscious. My father rushed me to the hospital where I was confined to an observation room. Fortunately, my father was holding me up with his prayers and his songs of praise. It was the only thing he was doing. One week later, the doctor told us that the operation would take place the following day. So my father and I prayed a lot, and we prayed fervently. My mother, my aunt, my brother, my sister, the church and my friends also prayed.

Thanks to the Lord who protected me, the operation was a big success. Since that time, my faith has grown stronger and become more solid thanks to the Lord.

A bible verse that has really touched me and which I have understood well and experienced is John 3:16

'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.'

Mon nom est William, j'ai 14 ans. En 2002, mon école organisait une soirée d’évangélisation et invitait les gens à une pièce de théâtre qui décrit la vie après la mort.

J’ai été très touché par ce sketch surtout quand le moment est venu pour voir si le nom de la personne décédée est écrit dans le livre de la vie, j’ai senti que le Seigneur me parlait directement et, à ce moment, j’étais certain que je ne peux quitter cette terre sans avoir Jésus comme sauveur.

Depuis, Jésus règne dans ma vie et m’a donné la chance de partager la bonne nouvelle avec des amis à plusieurs reprises.

En 2003, et plus précisément le 27 Mars, j’ai fait face à un problème majeur et très dangereux, une veine a éclaté dans mon cerveau et j’ai perdu conscience, mon père m’a emmené à l’hôpital et j’ai été emprisonné dans une salle d’observation, mais heureusement mon père me soutenait par des prières et des chants de louange. C’était la seule chose qu’on faisait. Une semaine plus tard, le médecin nous a dit que l’opération se fera demain. Alors moi et mon père avons prié beaucoup et très fort, ma mère, ma tante, mon frère, ma sœur, l’église, mes amis eux aussi ont prié. Et grâce au Seigneur qui m’a protégé l’opération a été un grand succès et depuis ce temps ma foi est devenue plus solide et meilleure grâce au Seigneur.

Un verset dans la Bible qui me touche beaucoup et que j’ai bien compris et expérimenté c’est Jean 3 :16 'Car Dieu a tant aimé le monde qu’il a donné son fils unique afin que quiconque croit en lui ne périsse point mais qu’il ait la vie éternelle'

إسمي ويليام،عمري 14 سنة. في عام 2002 نظّمت مدرستي سهرة تبشيرية وَدَعت الناس لحضور مسرحية تصِف الحياة بعد الموت. أثّرت كثيراً فيّ هذه المسرحية خاصة عندما حان الوقت لمعرفة ما إذا كان إسم المتوفي مكتوب في سفر الحياة. شعرت أن الرب كان يكلمني مباشرة وفي تلك اللحظة تأكدت أنه لا يمكنني أن أترك هذه الأرض قبل أن أقبل الرب يسوع مخلصاً. منذ ذلك الحين أصبح يسوع يملك على حياتي وأعطاني فرصة مشاركة الخبر السار مع أصدقائي عدة مرات.

سنة 2003 وبالتحديد في 27 أذار (مارس)، واجهتني مشكلة كبيرة وخطيرة؛ إذ إنفجر عرق في رأسي وفقدْتُ الوَعي، أخذني والدي الى المستشفى فوُضعت في غرفة العناية الفائقة، لكن والدي كان يساندني بالصلاة وترانيم التسبيح. هذا كان كل ما كنا نفعله.

بعدها بأسبوع أعلمنا الطبيب أن العملية ستُجرى في اليوم التالي. عندها رحنا أنا ووالدي وأمي وعمتي وأخي وأختي والكنيسة وأيضاً أصدقائي... كلنا رحنا نصلي. وشكراً للرب الذي حافظ علي، فقد نجحت العملية ومنذ ذلك الوقت أصبح إيماني راسخاً وأقوى بفضل الرب. هناك آية في الإنجيل تلمسني كثيراً لأنني فهمتها وإختبرتها، هي الآية من يوحنا 16:3 "لأنه هكذا أحب الله العالم حتى بذل إبنه الوحيد كي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الأبدية"
